It's not just Texas

Welcome Georgia to the crazy party.

But on April 1, your Georgia Senate did threaten by a vote of 43-1 to secede from and even disband the United States.

It was not an April Fool’s joke.

Read the text of the bill. It's an exercise in bureaucratic insanity.

Georgia? The welfare state Georgia? They get $1.01 for every dollar they pay in. Doesn't sound like a good fiscal move but then republicans aren't financial geniuses.

I'm also trying to figure out how Georgia has the authority to dissolve the entire union.

Sounds like since the US Constitution doesn't explicitly deny the right to secession (Amend. 9) and the States retain all powers not delegated to the Fed (Amend 10)then Georgia is outta here! Yay!

The reality is that last time it didn't work in their favor. I say they give it another go!
