You knew it had to end--Chicago Tribune endorsements

we've watched Hastert for decades, as a state legislator, congressman and leader of the House, and know that his values and priorities are strong

and

Rep. John Shimkus has acknowledged that GOP leadership mishandled the Mark Foley matter....But we know this: Shimkus is a decent, honorable man.

Leader of the House that threw out centuries of legal precident and reversed much of what was accomplished on July the 4, 1776.

Would you like cool-aid with your ballot?

They revert to form.

This is a paper that endorsed a war criminal 2 years ago, after all.

Melissa Bean supports torture, so I can see why they'd want to keep her.

Well, while I decry Bean's torture vote, she is a DEM in a 60% mouth-breathing GOP congressional district. I understand her need to run for cover, and OUR need to protect THAT seat from the TOTAL JERKOFF McSweeney...

Minor correction, rousing rabble incorrectly identified Bean's district; it is IL-08.

You wanna have fun? Friends and I occasionally sit in local restaurants (in IL-08) discussing politics and get dirty looks. :D Good times!

Thanks for the pick-up on my error. I have districts on the brain... and I'd LOVE to see Kirk get his ass handed to him in IL 10
