I like open comments, but...

I think we've heard enough of the Hansen family, pictured below:

Five Easy Pieces comes to mind...

"I'm listening to some cracker asshole who lives in a trailer park compare his life to mine!"

Apologies for the Mormon thing.

Despite what everyone thinks of the Hansen Family. They might just be surprised in how I voted in the last election and who I have voted for in past elections. All am am trying to get past is the constant tearing of people down for what they believe as well.

For the most part we do political commentary, and it's a contact sport. We have fun and use humor a lot, but we are all well informed, passionate and pretty damn good at what we do. You're welcome to visit and comment, but telling us you don't like how we do things isn't all that helpful. There are a million other places out there.

I was featured in a short Bon Appetit article a few years ago, with some of my recipes. They are online now, and are subject to comment. One was a Greek dish, "Chicken with olives and feta." A reviewer gave it bad marks, saying she didn't like olives and feta. OK, then why make a dish called Chicken with olives and feta??????? We like what we do. If you don't, it's your problem, not ours.

Your absolutely right! I have made quick judgments about several blogs without knowing much about them. I in fact do not agree with how many posts on these blogs have been worded or carried out but do respect these blog owners opinions. It is your blogs, do what you want with them. I guess I just tend to take such strong words about other people to personal. I just feel like if we even actually knew these people we were talking about on a much personal level if we would feel the same way about them. Sure some of them we might, but I would hope many of them we would not. It is hard for me to believe some of the people making comments about myself would really feel the same way if the really knew who I was. I guess I will just go back to living in my own dream world! Totally do get what you are saying about the Chicken Greek dish story though. Thanks
