This one's for Schmidlap

From GOP caucus winner/freak Mike Huckabee
I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do -- to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.
That's rich.

Comments like this are why Huckabee has no chance, even when our ditzy electorate is making the choice. We've had enough of the pseudo-religious right!

I was just firing up blogger to have a thought on this and saw that you'd beat me to it.

Pollyanna up there may think this guy has no chance. That's only true in the 'thug primaries, where the big money boys who really run the GOP are sharpening their knives. Our best hope is that they succeed in torpedoing him.

But if the thumping rabble show up in sufficient numbers to put him on the ballot in November, and if (as I predict) we put HRC up against him, he'll probably sneak a small victory out over her.

My only hope is that I can get my family out of the country between the election and the inauguration.

Huckabee is exactly the reason I am frightened. He's been emboldened by his knuclkle-dragging constituency
