I couldn't have said it any better myself

From Crooks and Liars:

Air America's Rachel Maddow (one of my favorite hosts) speaking on CNN about using torture to get information:

"You can't say it doesn't matter what we're doing cause we're trying to get Al Qaeda. It matters what we do. We're America. That's more important than Al-Qaeda."

I'm not Ned said...

I hope the general population is coming to that same conclusion. With the FBI admiting to violating our rights, the Gov using torture on prisoners, the dismissal of habeas corpus, the AG firing debacle and the exclusion of non-republicans from key legislative action all goes to demonstrate that the current administration is hell bent on destroying the foundations of American democracy.

When you add the anti-family values of Gingrich, Giuliani and McCain who have had 8 wives between the three of them and the governments denial of civil rights to gays and lesbians (I won't even go into the closet homosexuality running rampant in the Republican party) it's about time that the American population wakes up and realizes just how anti-American and anti-human their "republican" leaders are.

But I hear Halliburton stock is up over 350% since the invasion of Iraq. So we've got that going for us. Didn't they used to be an American company?
