Suspension

So JohnnyMac wants to postpone Friday's debate and is suspending his campaign (whatever that means) to do, y'know, his job as a US Senator (something he hasn't done in ages...). I've got two better ideas:

1) Suspend your pathetic campaign permanently and put yourself out of our misery
2) Have an unscripted and unplanned discussion on Friday night about the economy. Sit at a table with Obama and just talk. Show us how bipartisan and mavericky you really are, and work out a solution that doesn't just line the pockets of your rich friends.

If McCain is to busy to make the debate send the one who will take his place if he (god forbid) croaks.

I know Palin is a delicate flower who may wilt under the bright lights of public exposure, but it's better that she wilts now. Wilting in front of the world is no way to handle a crisis (which will be the situation if she were sworn in).

I seem to recall a Republican who ran for president during a CIVIL WAR?? And he can't deal with a bank crisis?

That's crazy talk, Pete. Lincoln didn't have to go to any debates in 1864. And he was universally loved, especially in the Booth household.

I liked Obama's response. A president has to be able to take care of two issues at the same time.

I think it's more important to hear first hand their perceptions of this and other major issues and what their course of action will be.

Listening to Bush tonight told me nothing except some unknown people were irresponsible. Who could that have been?
