Yet another improvement

Of the myriad things that will be better in January, here's another one: Robert Byrd replaces Ted Stevens as President Pro Tempore of the Senate, placing him just behind Nancy Pelosi in the line of succession. Not a likely occurrence, but still.

My 2 year old son shows more intelligence, empathy, leadership, and maturity than Ted Stevens. Young Schmidlap also towers over Ted in his understanding of the Internet.

The only advantage Ready Teddy has is under the heading of "toilet training," though it's even money whether Ted will be in diapers before Danny is out of them.

Man, there are a lot of bad Republican senators we can just ignore now. Inhofe is another one.

Now if we can just get Bush to go hunting with Cheney...

In my opinion the most important single change in Congress is getting Sensenbrenner out and John Conyers in as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee That man knows his habeas corpus.

I've been spending the last week just feeling happy about all the obnoxious bastards I don't have to pay attention to anymore.
