Ground Zero Indeed

Stolen from a friend:

"For Ned Lamont to say what's happening in Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror shows how ill prepared he is to be a U.S. senator," [Lieberman spokesman Dan] Gerstein said. "Iraq, right now, is ground zero in terms of terrorist activity."

This was said AFTER homegrown terrorists in London were foiled. Ground zero for terrorist activity is in Iraq? Tell that to London.

Go jump in a woodchipper, Mr. Gerstein.

And Doc, note that it was the BRITS who foiled the plot through good old fashioned POLICE WORK, not some misbegotten "war."

I've actually heard people say that the only reason the Brits caught them was that they don't have the same civil liberty issues we do, so their cops can actually catch badguys, while ours are impotent unless we burn the Bill of Rights. Well, not the Second Amendment.

And with GOOD POLICE WORK it takes 20 minutes to get a warrant.

In 20 minutes, terrorists could eat your children, don't you know that, Pete? If we were to wait 20 minutes for anything, we'd all die horrible nasty deaths that would make 9/11 look like a birthday party with roses and fluffy bunnies. The terrorists hate us because we have 20 minutes of freedom, so we'd better get rid of it.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out Mr. Lieberman.

Thankfully a few voting Americans can get past the Bush=Christ/Patriot/Winner stupidity. Iraq does not have any more to due with terrorist attacks on the US than is does WMDs and yellow cake uranium.
