Sidney Blumenthal (a must read, btw) on the Bush Administration:
"They believe in social Darwinism, but not Darwinism."

I've wondered about Rodin's famous sculpture. Is he engaged in deep thought or sitting around wasting time? And why isn't he wearing pants? I ask the same of myself. Here we comment on well, mostly politics. Or we may just sit! If you like it, tell a friend. If not, tell us, but please read the GROUND RULES before you do.

From Salon's review of Frank Rich's new book:
Rich draws a quick but brilliant sketch of Bush as a lazy, entitled boor, lacking in any real ideology beyond crony-capitalist Republicanism, who above all wanted to win and was accustomed to winning -- because he had always played with a rigged deck.
George isn't going to be waiting for history to judge him - he's been judged. Bad, very bad, the worst.
