Then, of course, in her view, there are few things worse than a loving couple raising a child in a caring nurturing environment. Oh the humanity!

Umm, I can see it being counter to a pro-family policy (I don't agree, but I understand the argument). But how the F($% is it counter to a pro-life policy? I thought having babies was a good thing. Is Ms. Crouse saying that Ms. Cheney should abort the baby?
Some rw nut, Terry Jeffrey, mentioned the other day that "every person born in this world" "has a God-given right to a mother AND a father." Umm, what? Don't fathers frequently die before their child is born; don't mothers frequently die during childbirth. Somebody should tell God about this "God-given right."
