Schaller (get it here) The author is a frequent Gadflyer contributor, one of our favorite sites. In Whistling Past Dixie, Prof. Schaller (University of Maryland-Baltimore County) urges Democrats to build a non-southern majority rather than engaging in "futile pandering to the nation's most conservative voters."
