ANN ROMNEY ASKED WHAT HER BIGGEST WORRY WOULD BE IF MITT IS ELECTED: "I think my biggest concern obviously would just be for his mental well-being ...I have all the confidence in the world in his ability BLAH-BLAH-BLAH ... So for me I think it would just be the emotional part of it."
I'LL SAY. You and the American people, both, Ann. The Media SHAMEFULLY isn't talking about it — except for Mike Papantonio, Thom Hartmann, and Maddowblogger Steve Benen a ... teenie-tiny-teenie little bit, as Rachel would say; and that's about it. Clearly, the "free press" is only as "free" as a directive (the proverbial 'memo') from corporate headquarters. Shame on ALL of you who have remained silent about Mitt's mental state.
But Ann Romney, who's not as crazy as her husband, is the loyal wife who KNOWS Mitt is a sociopath. Mike Papantonio, my kind of fearless Southern liberal who's litigated dozens of cases involving sociopathic personalities, makes no bones about it. And Thom Hartmann, the vegan progressive, who thinks we can reason with these ratbastards that he calls "whackadoodles" (not my kind of adjective for evil incarnate), has raised the issue of Romney's sociopathy in learned, interesting ways. Finally, Steve Benen noted the obvious: Mitt is "projecting" when he does his outrageous rubber-glue routine accusing the President of lying.
But silence from Rachel, Big Eddie (who was careful to put Benen's descriptor in quotes), Lawrence, and Chris, except very tangentially. Double SHAME on ALL of you! Ever noticed how Romney's face is an expressionless mask when asked a question? No emotion whatsoever, except for the ever-present right upper lip curl. It's like the face of someone who suffered a facial paralysis stroke. Very creepy.
