I've wondered about Rodin's famous sculpture. Is he engaged in deep thought or sitting around wasting time? And why isn't he wearing pants? I ask the same of myself. Here we comment on well, mostly politics. Or we may just sit! If you like it, tell a friend. If not, tell us, but please read the GROUND RULES before you do.

The Wisdom of Mitt Romney
Doing his best parsing on his marching with Martin Luther King lie:
"I'm an English literature major," he added, after the questions didn't stop. "When we say I saw the Patriots win the World Series, it doesn't necessarily mean you were there."
(Putting the obvious inaccuracy aside for the moment...)
Possibly. But it usually means that you saw it on TV and more importantly that the [team specified] actually won the [championship specified]. In the case of his father marching with MLK, Jr., it was never televised because it never actually happened. One doesn't speak metaphorically about how he saw the Seattle Mariners win a World Series.
