I've wondered about Rodin's famous sculpture. Is he engaged in deep thought or sitting around wasting time? And why isn't he wearing pants? I ask the same of myself. Here we comment on well, mostly politics. Or we may just sit! If you like it, tell a friend. If not, tell us, but please read the GROUND RULES before you do.

More stuff you can't make up
Cheney shoots man on Texas quail hunting trip
WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and injured a man during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, his spokeswoman said Sunday.
I read about this in my morning paper. And what hit me was how it took nearly 24 hours to even hear about it. And I imagine the only reason we did hear about it was because it appeared in a Corpus Christi paper.
And the owner of the ranch essentially blaming the victim because he "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself,".
Talk about "spin". What would have happened if he'd killed this guy?
So, anonymous, I take it that you buy into the notion that Wittington is responsible for getting himself shot, because he put himself in the line of fire? Don't gun safety courses teach you to make damned sure that no one is in the direction of the bullet you're about to fire...before you ever pull the trigger?
Or like the President not having to conform to FISA laws in getting a warrant to wiretap (even 72 hrs after the fact), the Veep doesn't have to conform to Gun Safety laws?
Oh..I see now. You do believe that Wittington was himself totally responsible for getting shot and Vice President Sneer is above the law. Thanks.....anonymous
Some people shouldn't be given guns. Or armies.

What a shame Dick didn't go hunting with some of his, ah, coworkers.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Schmid...didn't Scalia use to go duck hunting alot with Dicky?

ReplyDeleteSo true. It's really a shame that Clinton, Boxer, Durbin, Pelosi, Feinstein, Schumer, Kennedy, Kerry and Conyers sat this one out.

Holy liberal pigeonhole hysteria, zuzu! You really ought to invest in a "jump to conclusions" mat.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't answer the question.
ReplyDeleteI sure did, sweetheart. Your question is not germane. It's crazy-making, really.
ReplyDeleteThis'll be fun...

ReplyDeleteReally...
What ever you want to believe, zuzu baby. If it fulfills your liberal fantasies then, hey, great. Have fun.
