I've wondered about Rodin's famous sculpture. Is he engaged in deep thought or sitting around wasting time? And why isn't he wearing pants? I ask the same of myself. Here we comment on well, mostly politics. Or we may just sit! If you like it, tell a friend. If not, tell us, but please read the GROUND RULES before you do.

Too busy getting fitted for the stripes and cuffs, I guess
From CNN.com:
Rep. Tom DeLay will drop out of his re-election race, two Republican congressional sources tell CNN.
The only thing worse than Delay dropping out is that I didn't hear it here first! (Sorry, the BBC (liberal UK media) feed is pretty fast).
Is this the start of the long road back? Will the Dem's be able to overcome Delay's gerimandering? This wasn't looking to be a major contest and now it may (fingers crossed) be another seat on the blue side of the aisle.
Oh dear... maybe there is a god, and she's a Democrat!
Meanwhile, Ronald Aronson over at The Nation reveals the deepest, darkest fantasies of the left wing moonbats:
It's time to break a taboo and place the word "socialism" across the top of the page in a major American progressive magazine. Time for the left to stop repressing the side of ourselves that the right finds most objectionable. Until we thumb our noses at the Democratic pols who have been calling the shots and reassert the very ideas they say are unthinkable, we will keep stumbling around in the dark corners of American politics, wondering how we lost our souls--and how to find them again.
Boo yah! Here's hoping the radical, psychotic left continues to undermine the democrats. As long as these people are in your tent you're sunk.
There's nothing to discuss. We're in control and will be for another six years. The majority still fears your wingnuts more than ours regardless of what the polls may say today. The GOP can market, son. The democrats will squander another big chance. Shit. They already have.
Government mandated public education is the brainwashing tool of the liberals, son. How intellectually dishonest of you. Obviously you ignore at your own peril the old tenet...keep your friends close, your enemies closer.
Oh, and that condescending attitude towards your fellow man (the same fellows you allege to care more about) is exactly the reason you are on the sidelines. So, keep up the good work!!
I like the way the anonym-ass person above spouts as all his heros prepare for internment in hell. First Wednesday in Novemeber I'm guessing the headlines will read, "Impeachment Hearings Scheduled for Thursday".
Hey Mr. "Son", you continue to follow the flock to the gates of Hell. I, on the otherhand, sleep well at night knowing I have not supported terrorists. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4878096.stm

I know one of the open questions is how the GOP goes about replacing Delay on the ticket, since he already won the primary.
ReplyDeleteDear anonymous two - let's not discuss the extemists on either side of the political divide, especially since your wingnuts run your party.

ReplyDeleteEmotional are we? Why am I not surprised?

You're crazy, man. I like you, but you're crazy.
Oh, and that condescending attitude towards your fellow man (the same fellows you allege to care more about) is exactly the reason you are on the sidelines. So, keep up the good work!!
ReplyDeleteOut of curiosity, how did you stumble across our apparently insignificant musings and develop some need to demonstrate your superiority?
ReplyDelete(Just anonymous, not the anonymous asshole above)

Damn, miss a little, miss a lot!
ReplyDeleteI imagine him saying it in Foghorn Leghorn's voice.
ReplyDeleteKeep telling yourself that, son.
ReplyDeleteTeehehe! He said "son" again!

Hmm. I knew you typed in black on a white background. Do I earn any points for that?
